What is Aira?
AI stands for Artificial Intelligence; RA stands for Remote Access. When you put them together you get Aira. Aira is a service that uses artificial intelligence and augmented reality to connect people to highly trained, remotely-located agents. At the touch of a button, Aira delivers instant access to information, enhancing everyday efficiency, engagement, and independence.
Dane County Regional Airport provides free access to Aira, a service that connects blind and low-vision travelers to highly-trained agents via a smartphone app. By simply pressing a button in the app, agents are able to provide objective visual information of a traveler’s environment to enhance independent navigation.
Signing Up For Aira
For a smoother travel experience, we recommend downloading the app and registering for a free account before you arrive:
Step 2: Open the app, enter your mobile number and select the “Get Started” button.
Step 3: You’ll receive a text with a temporary, four-digit code. Enter the code in the app to verify your mobile number and complete your registration.

While at the Dane County Regional Airport, you can connect with a certified agent for free! Aira Agents can help navigate complex enviornments, provide technical support, assist with objective visual descriptions while shopping, find your gate independantly at an airport, or conduct business related activities!
